Although we have made progress in 2021, the Brazilian economy faces a challenging scenario for 2022.
While take-up of Covid-19 vaccines has evolved and prompted the service sector’s recovery during the previous year with lower levels of unemployment, a rate hike to curb inflation together with a scenario of political uncertainty in an election year may well pose even greater challenges for all Brazilian businesses, including Algar Telecom.
For our part, we will remain focused on growing our business. This will be a year of hard work integrating operations and capturing synergies with the acquired company, also involving the assimilation of our corporate culture to constantly strengthen our “People serving People” mission.
We look forward to another year of significant advances in the technological transformation process, with more solutions and services developed to meet new demands from an increasingly digitalized society, while improving our processes and formulating new business models.
We are aware of these additional challenges, given Brazil’s fraught political and economic scenario in 2022, but we are confident of our ability to tackle challenges because we have a top quality and highly experienced team and our corporate governance meets the market’s highest standards, including ESG principles and our vocation for, and focus on, trail blazing and innovating.
So we feel confident in our continuing growth while serving customers with data, IT and voice products and services based on our competitive edge in relationships and services.
